Traveled down to Woodward Park in Fresno, CA for the 3rd Annual Pirates of the CURE-I-bbean Booty Run 5k benefiting the Relay For Life.  The sun was shining, but it was a cold morning with frost covering the grass.  About 10 minutes or so before the race there was a costume contest voted on by the crowd of runners and spectators.  People of all ages were dressed up.  Found a couple of BNB Runners and waited for the start of the race.

The start of the race was a little congested, as races tend to be, but opened up very quick.  The course was a loop traveling along the road in the park and paved trails.  False flats and small rolling hills, the course is fast.  I did not want to really push it so I felt I took it nice and steady while snapping hundreds of photographs.  Took a short walk break about halfway through to take a selfie and post it to social media.  Finished with a good pace and was greeted at the finish line by a cardboard cutout of Jack Sparrow and BNB Runners.  Instead of a medal, this race hands out iron keys.  Some of those keys fit a lock on the treasure chest filled with prizes.  My key did not fit.
